Press Release: Serve Our State’s New Superheroes Seeks to Build the Next Generation of Leaders

Serve Our State launches its first children’s book “The Super Servers” to connect with youth and increase volunteer rates in the state of Florida. 

GAINESVILLE, FL — Oct. 15, 2024 — The Super Servers are here to save the day and you can too! Serve Our State is on a mission to encourage youth to take action, help others in need, and develop strong leadership skills. 

“The Super Servers: A Children’s Activity Book” introduces a squad of five superheroes who are leaders in their communities and each has a unique Power of Purpose (POP) they support. This book allows readers to learn more about Mabel, Maleko, Laila, Caleb, and Josephine, while also utilizing hand-tailored worksheets/activities to develop servant-based leadership skills.

The book is a #1 New Release available on Amazon and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to hurricane relief organizations in Florida.

“When I was a little girl, I grew fascinated with superheroes,” said Serve Our State founder and author Halle Burton.

At only 21 years old and a senior at the University of Florida, Halle seeks to elevate her nonprofit outreach and amplify Serve Our State's mission nationwide through her new superhero campaign.

“I am so fortunate to bring my vision to life through my very own selfless superheroes!” 

Additionally to the launch of The Super Servers, free family-friendly challenges will be launched monthly on the Serve Our State website. Children can download the digital badges to hold on to or print out. Our suggestion is to add each badge to a superhero cape! 

Aside from the company’s dedication to community advocacy, Serve Our State is dedicated to connecting with the next generation of leaders and discussing important social topics.
